It’s the 100th anniversary of Jewish Book Month. This year we’ll be celebrating it until Hanukkah, which begins on the night of December 14th. It’s a good time to think about books with Jewish themes that inspire and inform readers. My award-winning memoir trilogy, the Sidonia’s Thread Books, has been read around the world and touched upon themes of love, loss, identity, and the resilience to begin a new life after tragedy and pain. This image shows my mother and me at the Bergen Belsen DP Camp, coupled with the exhibition of some of her original fashion designs in our traveling exhibition.
The story of my life with my gifted mother, Sidonia, a Holocaust survivor alone in the world, will resonate with you long after you read the books. Read one or read them all, and think about sharing them with family and friends for the holidays. Also, let me know if you would like me to appear, either in person or virtually, for an author talk. I would love to meet you!
