An exhibit of Sidonia’s fashions is planned to take place at the Windham Textile and History Museum in Willimantic, Connecticut beginning February, 2019. With the cooperation of the Museum and Eastern Connecticut State University and funders to be announced, the exhibit will display Sidonia’s original fashions designed and sewn during her 57 years in America. Garments will include dresses, pants, suits, vests, camisoles, skirts, pants, evening wear and even small tote bags handcrafted by Sidonia.
If you are in possession of a garment Sidonia made for you, a friend, or family member, contact Hanna at email@example.com. We would love to borrow your garment to display at the exhibit and will give you credit in the signage describing the garment at the exhibit!
Help us portray the story of a woman who willed a life in America after emigrating from a displaced persons camp by using her wits, imagination, and above all, her hands.
